Colibria Puts the Presence into IM at 3GSM World Congress 2005
Colibria unveils the Colibria Companion Instant Messaging and Presence Server and Colibria Cast Mobile Media Solutions on Stand No: F13/Hall 2 - evolving converged presence-driven communications on IMPS and IMS-enabled networks.
Colibria AS, the leading international developer of mobile instant messaging and presence (IMPS) technology platforms, is demonstrating the vital contribution that presence can make to mobile communications on Stand No F13/Hall 2 at 3GSM World Congress. Colibria is unveiling its latest product portfolio, comprising the carrier-grade Colibria Companion Instant Messaging (IM) and Presence Server, and the Colibria Cast Mobile Media Suite of products, designed to enable mobile campaign and audience interaction solutions for promotions and broadcast applications.
Colibria has compiled a number of world-leading demonstrations for 3GSM World Congress, including:
IMPS demonstration: Involving a variety of IMPS clients, including embedded clients, downloadable smartphone clients, Colibria's own PC client, WAP client and SMS client, all communicating through Colibria's IMPS server. The demonstration shows how different clients access and use the services provided through IMPS, and how differences in style and functionality give different feels.
SIP (IMS)/IMPS integration: Demonstrating interoperability between instant messaging and presence on the IMPS and SIP (IMS) standards. One of the first of its type, the demonstration includes communication and sharing of presence information between SIP clients running Movial's Symbian-based clients, and IMPS clients - both on mobile devices and a PC. Colibria is showing both text and multimedia content, illustrating how mobile messaging and presence can be combined to optimum effect.
MSN Messenger gateway: Showing gateway access to Microsoft's MSN Messenger Network through the IMPS client-server protocol. Users can log on to their MSN accounts, communicating with the same contacts as through the MSN Messenger. Presence is also propagated across the networks, giving the user a native feel.
Colibria Communities: Developed in close co-operation with major operators, and demonstrating how a community site can be presented to the mobile user. Based on IMPS, Colibria Communities provides operators with content and social networking for the mobile community.
