Colibria Takes MIM to a Wider Audience with New Flexible Client Solution for Operators

• Version 3 of new J2ME device client adds enhanced multimedia and group messaging capabilities.
• Flexible client adds innovative new capabilities for MSN/Windows Live Messenger Gateway solution.

Colibria, a leading developer of new generation Mobile Instant Messaging (MIM) solutions, today launched its innovative new mass market MIM client for operators.

The new client is designed for maximum flexibility enabling operators to customise branding and offer full integration with users’ existing phone address books. It can be made available as an embedded solution or for download onto a device. As it is Java based, over 80% of current market devices are compatible.

The client is also offered as an optional component of Colibria’s latest Gateway Solutions including MSN, along side its existing gateway clients, where it works seamlessly to bridge the PC Internet IM and mobile IM user experiences.

Features include an intuitive user interface offering the minimum number of clicks to discovery and use of MIM. The feature-rich client also includes exciting new developments such as nudges, many-to-many messaging and the sending of multimedia images. All features are designed to support the next phase of the GSM Association’s Personal IM initiative.
