19 Mar 2007

Mobile Instant Messaging player follows rapid growth with place in the elite ‘Top 100’ list.

Colibria, a global leader in new generation Mobile Instant Messaging solutions, today announced its success in the Red Herring ‘Top 100’ Europe awards.

The elite ‘Top 100’ list is built from the highest achieving private companies in Europe which are setting the standards in technological innovation. Previous companies receiving the accolade from Red Herring include Google, e-Bay and Skype. The annual list is hotly contested with over 700 companies entering.

The award follows a period of substantial progress for Colibria having won 17 new mobile operators customers and company growth of over 200% in 2006. With its market share increasing exponentially over the last three years, the award recognises Colibria as one of the top three MIM vendors globally.

Colibria was praised by the Red Herring judges for its MIM portfolio ‘Elevate’, the credentials of its management team, its business model and the key partnerships that the company has fostered. Colibria’s Elevate portfolio enables operators to not only launch innovative MIM services, but to ensure their interoperability with existing messaging services such as SMS as well as other operator networks.

Keith Gibson, CEO of Colibria commented: "We are extremely proud that our achievements and dedication have been recognised by Red Herring. Mobile IM is widely anticipated to be the next evolutionary step of the mobile messaging market. We are committed to helping mobile operators launch and develop their MIM services, enabling MIM to break into the mainstream with innovative, user-centric services."
